What to do around Bussy-Saint-Georges

A Disneyland Paris trip need not be parks and nothing else. Here is what you can easily reach from Bussy-Saint-Georges, by train or on foot.

Val d’Europe and La Vallée Village, 3 minutes by train

A single RER stop separates Bussy-Saint-Georges from Val d’Europe. You will find a large covered shopping centre there with a hypermarket — handy for stocking up without a car.

Right next door, La Vallée Village gathers close to 190 brand outlets and some thirty restaurants. It makes a convenient fallback on a rainy day, or a quieter half-day slipped between two days at the parks.

The journey takes 3 minutes from the station, so around ten minutes door to door from our apartments.

Disney Village, no park ticket needed

One stop further along the same line and you are at Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy. The station sits exactly at the junction between the park entrance and the Disney Village: as you come out, the parks are on one side and the Village on the other.

Disney Village gathers around a dozen restaurants and a number of shops, and getting in does not require a park ticket.

It is a good option for your arrival evening or for a day without the parks: you soak up the atmosphere and head home for dinner or bed seven minutes away.

Paris in 35 minutes, no changes

The RER A drops you at Châtelet–Les Halles in 35 minutes, right in the centre of Paris, where the whole metro network opens up.

The same line, without ever changing trains, also serves Auber, at the foot of the Opéra Garnier, and Charles de Gaulle – Étoile, at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe. Three of the most visited addresses in Paris are therefore reachable directly from Bussy-Saint-Georges station.

Many of our guests slot a day in Paris into the middle of their stay. Not having to change trains with children and a pushchair counts for a great deal: you get on at Bussy, you get off at Châtelet.

A useful reminder: the ticket is valid for 2 hours and leaving a station uses it up. Plan one outward and one return ticket per person.

On foot, around the apartment

Bussy-Saint-Georges is a quiet residential town, which is exactly what you want when coming back from the parks. Everything you need is within walking distance:

  • a supermarket by the station, 4 minutes away, open Monday to Saturday;
  • a convenience store just 2 minutes from the apartment;
  • several restaurants, 3 bakeries and at least 3 pharmacies within a 10-minute walk.

We give our guests a map of the neighbourhood with the addresses we use ourselves. It is available from the guide we send you before your arrival.

Found a good spot during your stay? Tell us and we will add it to the map we pass on to the next guests.
